Meet the Founder
Kris Hui (she/they) is the Founder and Wellbeing Strategist behind Sage & Focus—dedicated to helping individuals and organizations navigate complexity, restore capacity, and move forward with tactical clarity.
Defined by experience.
Driven by strategy.
After more than a decade in workplace wellness and people strategy, one thing became undeniable: the professionals who need the most support are often the least served by it. As a queer, neurodivergent, and chronically ill professional, Kris has lived this friction firsthand. They founded Sage & Focus to bridge the gap between rigid corporate expectations and the reality of navigating life with complex health needs. Waiting for the system to change was no longer an option—so they built the strategy to navigate it.

Their methodology centers wellness as a strategy for regulation—informed by the real-world experiences of chronic illness and neurodivergence. Kris specializes in building the tactical frameworks required to navigate demanding environments without losing yourself to the process.
The Sage & Focus Approach
As a Scandinavian native and long-time resident of Northern California, Kris brings an inherent appreciation for hygge—the practice of creating intentional comfort and sanctuary in the everyday. Outside of client work, they are a long-time vegan and mid-century modern enthusiast who finds focus through 5-minute journaling and the stillness of the Sierras. Their daily baseline is built on simple, high-impact rituals: a soy matcha, a seat at the local theater for an A24 release, and time spent with their partner and Shiba Inu, Inari.
